Oh, yes, this is an unexpected begining. I am now beening stucked at the airport and the broast is repeating some bad news unclearly in a boring tone. I was in a red T-shirt and was told that the flight to Guangzhou was delayed for two hours for the people’s air force was training. The worse thing is that a storm seems very closing and we may be delayed much more later. The day before yesterday, I read a travelling magazine in which a man said “Travel broadens your horizental line, feeds your curiosity and enriches your experience”. I think this exactly answers the reason why I love traveling, though it’s a business trip.
I have never travelled by air for financial reason and, in fact, this will be my first flight. I have stay here at the waitting room for almost two hours and several arguments have occured. In front of me is the client, I will travel with her together, I don’t feel eazy and don’t know how to talk with her naturally. But I’ll try. Some PWC guies are seated right on my left, they seem professional and I guess they also are in business trip. BTW, my girfriend is also in business trip.
Wireless is a good thing, it enable me to blog at airport. Haha, I am not disappointed by the delay but a little bit worried about the project. Hope everything goes well and I can enjoy the trip.

To deal with clients is always a head aching problem, especially when they are not the kind of client we called nice. Unfortunately, most of our work are for the clients and the ability to handle the clients well is a necessarily. This several days, I have saw how tough the clients are and how my boss was bothered by them.I am considering what should I do when I’m dealing with clients and if…
If he/she is rude:
Sometimes, I may meet politeless client. They just don’t know how to respect others and only able to order you do this and do that no matter whether the service within your responsibility to them. In this condition, you can:
I Don’t show unsatisfactory
II Tell he/she you are busy with some important works and tell them to ask someone else do this
III If he/she continue fussing you, call a helper/assistant to come to you, and ask the helper to do the thing and tell the helper to handle all things of this kind in front of the client. Then he/she will know who will be in charge for this kind of thing.
If he/she is demanding:
Some clients are very demanding. They require a lot. They ask you for A summary, B summary, V table, D figures…adjust arrangements, add more items, but, in fact, these are not necessary. In this condition, you should:
I Remember, don’t promise everything the client want you to do or he/she will be spoiled by your tame obedience
II Be professional and confident, act like a expert.
III Ask he/she why he/she need this and explain him/her why it’s not necessary
IV Tell he/she your experience
If the client is unsatisfied with the progress:
I Tell them the difficulties before hand
II Tell them the situation is within consideration and under control
III Discuss solutions within team and work harder, also show them to the clients
If you don’t know how to handle the client:
Learn how to handle them and you will know what to do next time. Remember, to have the client in tail is very hard, but try not to be had in tail is upon you. I’m also a brand new learner.

The first project I involved in as a key member kicked off yesterday and today is the contineous second day I have to OT. Bad message is that the project will last till 26st Sep. and also will take place in Guangzhou (I will go to GZ following the project), which means I don’t have a chance to have a good rest till then. Relatively good message is that we don’t have to OT tomorrow for it’s festival – midautum day. But I haven’t had time to buy mooncake yet : ( Anyhow, it’s much better that I don’t have to OT at such a meaning festival. I don’t know how to celabrate the festival, either. Maybe just go out dinning somewhere. But this is too conventional and I prefer ideas with creativity. I’d better figure out some good plan for it’s been a long time since my girlfriend and me had a romantic dating. Well, I’d better go to bed now, because there’re still lots of works and hard-going clients tomorrow. OK, goodnight!Liu ran for first tonight, right? I haven’t saw the news on TV, but have heard something from the sports fans come out from the stadium and heard their 欢呼 in before. It’s awesome and worthy to celabrate. Congratulations!

Today I take a day off from work and spent the whole day running between several offices to apply for a residental card and transfer my record documents. In fact, this is really painful experience for the process is unresonablely complex and the relative works are not very clear about how to deal with my spectacular situation which make the peocess almost a chaos and you have to find a way out off the chaos on your own. Now that I have experienced all of these I’d like to share my experience with you for a reference when you confront similar situations and need to apply for a residental card. Before today I went to handle the thing in person, I have asked two of my friends to help me do the application, but all of them have failed because none of them or the teacher in charge of the student employment work can fully understand my spectacular situation. Hence, I have to take a day off to hudle this myself. This passage is a guidance particully for those who has the same situation as mine.
Then, what’s situation? First, I’v just graduated from a university in SH in July. It has been about two month since I left school. Second, I come from Beijing. I didn’t transfered my Hukou to Shanghai when I enrolled. This makes my case more complex because the government has some specified policy for students form Beijing. Third, I’ve just found a job on Sep. 1st. And below pls find the peocess I worked through:
Step 1 First, let the HR department give you a acceptance testimonial (录取通知) with a company’s stamp on it to prove that you have find a job. The format of the acceptance testimonial is not standarized
Step 2 Then, you bring the testimonial to the your school’s Student’s Career Guidance Center (SCGC). Present it to the teacher and get a Shanghai risidental card application (上海市居住证申请表) together with a triangle agreetment (三方协议) for 25RMB
Step 3 And then, after you have properly filled in the two tables, bring them to the HR and let the HR add another stamps respectively for every page of the tables. Attention: In the “Transfer Record Document To (档案接受地)” blanket you should make sure you fill it as 北京市人事局 for the relative government requires this. The address of 北京市人事局 is 东城区台基厂3条4号
Step 4 After these have been done, you bring the two documents to the Shanghai Graduate’s Career Guidance Center (No.900, Yan’an Rd.). You need to change one page of the triangle agreement for tow Bao Dao Zheng (报到证/BDZ), one is for transfering your Hukou and the another one is for transfering your record documents. Actually, the one for transfering your Hukou is useless because your Hukou is untouched. Also, you will need to change the Shanghai residental card application for two BDZs among which one is sumitted to your employer company and the other one is for applying Shanghai residental card. Don’t be confused by the two residental card applications. Only you pass though the prior applicatios can you apply your card in your residental complex
Step 5 Finally, you bring one of the BDZ back to the archives of your school to ask them transfer your record document for you and bring another BDZ together with other required materials to the office of the street where you live to apply for the Shanghai risidental card
The first four steps took me a whole day, but if the distances between your office, your school and the centre are not that far as mine, you may save much time. And hopefully the Shanghai residental card can be OK after about one week after your summition your materials. And be aware another thing: you’re sure to ask the relative workers questions and they are sure to be very pationless to you. So being aware of this, if you want to make your questions answered you should be very patient.

Finally, the weekend comes with the arrival of Friday. In the moring I went directly to the client’s headquarter instead of theoffice. Arrived at there at a quarter to nine and waited until the client informed we three to go upstairs. Besides ourselves the attendents also included client’s staff from the marketing department, purchase department, one supplier and two people from the U.S.A. on the con-call. G delivered a long boring proposal presentation that almost confused the audience. Finally the client opened the door for us smiled and said farewell. Steped out of the building I took out my cellphone and called back Urecca who has called me during the meeting. She was supposed to get me some documents from the school, but absolutely something went wrong, otherwise she wouldn’t be calling me. Urecca answered my call and vertified my suspition. We took a taxi back to office and I spent the remaining morning inquiring about my documents. They can’t tell exactly the process I should follow. Noon, had launch with J, my boss. He asked me if I’m going to be DINK and suggested me to be generous when conflicting with my girlfriend. Afternoon, explored in explorer and wrote cards for the clients to wish them a happy mid-autum festival. One hour after 下班时间, I took my way home and bought some oranges and chicken spaws for dinner. Had dinner with Urecca and bloged after dinner.

I am now learning SPSS, ’cause it’s a pre-requisite tool to carry out my work. Have you ever heard of this application? I have but never have thought I will have to apply it in my work. In fact, SPSS is statistical and analysis software used by researchers in many fields, say anthropology, biology and marketing research. Basicly, SPSS is a statistical tool, a powerful statistical tool. See the chart left? Quite neat and professinal, right? This is all credited to the SPSS.
