A View of Shanghai Midnight

I set off for the 24-hrs self-help bank at around 23:30 Wednesday. I was going to withdraw the last little deposit. So I got this chance to have a look at the midnight of Shanghai. And here I’d like to share them with you.Stepped out from my room and I began to walk along Shaoxing Road. Some one nicked the road as “A street of publishing houses” for there’re a dozen of famous press company locate on the street. Besides there’re also several cafes and tea houses along this road amongst which Hanyuan Tea & Book Bar (汉源书屋) is the most famous.

When I reach the end of Shaoxing Road (绍兴路), I turn left and then walked on South Shanxi Road (陕西南路). Shanxi Rd. is no that featured as Shaoxing Rd. But if you want to buy some flowers or want to buy some special and fine tasted household goods, it also has quite a few shops. And when I walked along this road at midnight, I found some thing a little surprising – Though it’s already very late, the street is not that silent as I expected. Many people drove their car surpassed me, and all the convenience stores are still polishing their lamps to attracting the pedestrians. Even there’re many female costumers in the barber’s.

Leaving South Shanxi Road, I turn right and came to the Zhaojiabang Road (肇嘉浜路). This, in fact, is a very long road. I have heard that this road is as long as ten miles. But I have only to walk a distance of 100 meters on this road. There’re many restaurants along Zhaojiabang Road, most of them are premium ones.

When I arrived at the cross between Zhaojiabang Road and Xiaomuqiao Road, I turned my way left again. Went through the cross and I reached the 24-hrs self-help bank – my destination.
