This lesson is presented by Pro. Urecca Liu, a famous chef in a small world. After the lesson, all the small world know the importance to excess the others’ expectation.
Why important? Because things beyond one’s imagination can deeply impress him/her. And people always first consider that he believes is better. So the reason why to perform beyond expectation is a trick that can help you a lot in your career. Don’t only do just what the boss told if you know that there’s some else you can help? If you don’t know what to do, then polish your work and let it with no flaw and shinning. Have you ever received a document, say just a piece of fax that you have assigned to somebody. But the after you checked the one-page fax, you find that there are 3 mistakes. Though they are small typos or just that kind of very small errors, will you hesitate to assign him another work when there’s an important task to be done next time? Of course, you will doubt if he qualifies for the important work, because he even can not do a fax well. All in one, the boss doesn’t think you are reliable enough to handle assignments, and will hesitate and double check.
Do you want to be trapped in such situation? I’m sure, you don’t. Then, stop for a minutes before you send a email or hand a task over to you boss or client. In fact, your boss is also your client. If he’s not satisfied with your performance, he won’t give you work. This is just like what the client does to your company.
