Today, I came across an post dicussing on the Matthew Effect. It’s said that if you have many friends then you will have even more . On the contrast, if you have few friends, then you’ll have fewer and, at last, left to be alone.

I feel isolated last weekend, acting a couch potato in my dorm. No party and no friends gathering. So I decided to launch a small program for my blog, a link exchange program. Let me name is as Connect With More, CWM in short.

CWM is a simple idea:
What: CWM is a way in which I endeaver to connect with more bloggers, and finally make more friends.
Who : CWM is for bloggers’ blogs. The only limitation is that most of the post is created by youself and is in regular updating.
How : Just compose an email to me listing your blog’s info. including: a. Blogger’s name b. Blog’s name c. Blog linkage d. Brief introduction of your blog, best in English. Pls make your email suject be like “Apply for CWM”. If your blog has logo, also, I encourage you attach it in the mail.

CMW list:

Manson Xu’s Live Space – a handsome guy from Cambridge Univ.

Do women like comparing?

July 29th, 2006   Filed under English entries, Thinking

@ 2006-07-29 12:33

I have no doubt that women like comparing when shopping. But just now Urecca told me women also compare themself with each other, whether on clothing or on boyfriend or etc now and then.I deduce the conclution that women like comparing clothing is from the reality that every woman, if she has the purchasing power, will buy herself a chamber of various garments within which only few is her gf’s. It seems that there’s never a satisfying garment. Why? Because there are always some women on the street who prosess a better one.

I held the most scunner at women’s comparision of their boyfriends. I don’t know why. But, in each of this kind of case, I can’t held my temper within bounds. But after Urecca told me that women like comparing, I doubt both the authenticity of the statement and the reaction I took. Do women really like comparing, including comparing their bfs? If so, am I going to change my reaction? Compromise of fight, this is a issue.

Travelog – Zheduo Mountain (折多山)

July 20th, 2006   Filed under English entries, Photography, Travel

The next day moring, we traveled the whole day and finally reach Danba by night. On the way we passed by Zheduo Mountain (折多山), XinDuQiao town (新都 桥), TaGong Town (塔公) and BaMei town (八美). These places are de facto the ghetto of real Tibitan, people who have not been assimilated by the Han people. I’m regreting now for we passed by these towns too quickly.

The distances between each of the nearest two towns are over 100kms and there’s few bus between the towns. We have to again rent a old Santana for travel. It’s again rainy. As we got higher and higher, it began to snow. But you should know it’s summer, in June. Finally, we climbed to the peak. We got off the Santana. Wow, the surrounding was all covered by snow. The altitude is ab.l 4000+ km above the sea level. Very cold, but very COOL!

Travelog – MuGeCuo Lake (牧格错)

July 13th, 2006   Filed under English entries, Travel

@ 2006-07-13 18:39

MuGeCuo Lake locates at the north of Kangding, about an hour of drive. In Tibetan MuGeCuo means lake of savage. Local people told me the old man do have seen some savages. Jun.21 is a rare sunny day during the trip, we rent a minivan to there. Clouds are floating in the sky. Far away we can see the Lotus mountain as well as the GongGa mountain, highest peak in Sichuan province.

Before arrive at MuGeCuo, there’s another small lake called Sever-Colour Lake. The driver stop at the lake for us to take some pictures.

This is MuGeCuo Lake. The lake itself is not very beautiful. But if you rent a horse and get to the back of the mountian, you can see very wonderful scenes.

We rent two horses to the back of the mountain. You may have heard of GeSang flower, and here is what it looks like. Do you see the shabby cottages? That are the herdsman’s home. They do the horse renting business by stealth because the local government deduct too much, up to 70% of total. The last picture is Urecca and me on the saddle.
