MuGeCuo Lake locates at the north of Kangding, about an hour of drive. In Tibetan MuGeCuo means lake of savage. Local people told me the old man do have seen some savages. Jun.21 is a rare sunny day during the trip, we rent a minivan to there. Clouds are floating in the sky. Far away we can see the Lotus mountain as well as the GongGa mountain, highest peak in Sichuan province.

Before arrive at MuGeCuo, there’s another small lake called Sever-Colour Lake. The driver stop at the lake for us to take some pictures.

This is MuGeCuo Lake. The lake itself is not very beautiful. But if you rent a horse and get to the back of the mountian, you can see very wonderful scenes.

We rent two horses to the back of the mountain. You may have heard of GeSang flower, and here is what it looks like. Do you see the shabby cottages? That are the herdsman’s home. They do the horse renting business by stealth because the local government deduct too much, up to 70% of total. The last picture is Urecca and me on the saddle.
