Wordcamp China 2008
Wordcamp China 2008 is going to debut in Beijing this Saturday. This is a convention for all WordPress fans to get together, sharing WordPress related stories and discussing its future perspective. There’s also a branch convention held in Shanghai this Sunday afternoon. And I’m glad to announce that, after paying for 20RMB, I’ve booked a seat in the Shanghai branch convention. You can see that I’ve put up a Wordcamp Logo at the right-top of this page. So guys, you can be looking forward my reports from the scene this weekend.
The seats in Beijing and Shanghai have been limited to 300 and 200 respectively. If you want to join this event, you’d better take action ASAP. This link will lead you to the registration page. Only two days left, hurry up boys and girls.
Four keynote speakers have been clinched for the Shanghai meeting. The speech which is most eagerly waited is The State of WordPress by Matt Mullenweg, the 24-year-old cofunder of the WordPress system. There are also three other bloggers that I’ve never heared of. The most exciting thing may be that I can meet a bunch of active WordPress bloggers and have a WordPress T-shirt. Haha, 20 RMB, what’s a good deal.
The convention site is in Fudan University. So it will be very convenient for me to go there since I also live nearby. For latest update on this event you can either go to the official site china.wordcamp.org or go to the Wordcamp China Google Group.
