Believe it or not, I only have one tie in the first three years of my career and I’ve never untied that tie even once. This morning, I want to wear a new tie to meet the client , but the trouble is that I don’t know how to tie a tie. How rediculous!

So I searched Google and found some pictures teaching how to tie a tie. I chose to follow one which seemed to be the simplist aomnge all the ways to tie a tie, called Four-in-Hand. It’s seems very easy: five steps and you get the knot. But wait a minute … Why the knot is tilted? I tried this method for half an hour but still don’t know where the problem is. Crab!

So I thought a introduction vedio may be help. So I searched Youtube and find a video on how to tie a four-in-hand tie. But I was suprised to find that even in this vedio the final product is a tilted knot too!

That’s really strange. I mean, how can a popular method of tie knot come out with a tilted knot. Where can be my mistake? Can anyone help?

江湾湿地，一个我大学时代就听说的地方，但直到昨天才终于成行。去过之后的感觉是，我应该早点儿来才对。

江湾湿地所在地，原本是废弃的江湾军用机场，北面紧邻黄浦江。由于是军方用地，再加上紧邻黄浦江，多年废弃后人工的痕迹竟然被自然转化为一个颇为自然的湿地，一度有上海绿肺的美名。但今天，这个名字是不能再用了，因为今天的江湾湿地的面积仅为昔日的1/10。自02年起，江湾湿地大部分面积被征来建成了住宅区以及复旦大学江湾校区。但年上海学者呼吁保护湿地的事一度登上了南方周末，但是民意拗不过利益，这片宝贵的湿地大部分都被改造成了标价17000/m到20000/m的高档住宅小区。对于整个上海来说，仅仅是多了几个高档小区，而失去的是原本被赐予的一块宝地，不能不惋惜。鼠目寸光。

如何去江湾湿地？

从复旦大学出发的话可以坐168路，这辆车从复旦大学本部到复旦大学江湾校区，你可以在江湾校区门口下车。另外，如果从五角场方向过来可以乘坐910路，然后走到国秀路和江湾城路路口。具体路线看这张地图吧。

昨天先是去了复旦大学江湾校区，4点左右才到了国秀路、政和路路口的江湾湿地。江湾校区是矫情的欧式风格，像所有新建的大学城一样，又大又新，没有人气和内涵，不过由于是建在原江湾湿地上的，校园里的绿化很好，有湖水有河流，往北望，能看到黄浦江上的码头。我们去到国秀路、政和路路口的江湾湿地时已经4点多，所以没能够进入湿地内部。不过发现这里有条河，很多人在这里野钓，甚至还有人在河里划橡皮艇。下次还要找时间，进入湿地内部看看，以后周末也可以来这里钓鱼。拍了500多张片子，挑了些放上来！

You may be not able to access my blog for several days earlier this week. I could not either, but strange is that I can access it from my office. I guess that’s because my office server is at Singapore. So I turn to Hostermonster for help. The hostmonster stuff tell me that my website maybe blocked by the Great Fire Wall and suggest me do an url test using InternetSupervision.com which can test your websit availability from a dozen of countries. Using this I found that my website can be visited from all arond the world but for China. This proved my suspision. In fact, it’s not my website blocked by the GFW but someone else’s website with which I shared the same IP address. Since there’s no hope that the GFW would lift the ban, I have to figure out another way. So I bougth a dedicated IP address from Hostermonster at a cost of 3.5$/month.

My dedicated IP address is 67.222.56.*** From now on, as long as I don’t offend GFW’s rule my site would be safe.

My girlfriend redeemed a Swiff Knife for me using her credit card bonus points. It’s a very nice gadget and is what I want because I dropt my knife last time when I bring it to onboard. Security check at the airport is very annoying these days. Last time I was almost refused to bring three notebook batteries onboard because they declared that there’s possibility that the batteries may explode!
